My
staff and I are pleased to introduce our practice in
Colchester, a member of the OrthoWorld Group.
There has been, in recent years, an incredible upsurge in
the number of patients who now realise the benefits of good
orthodontic treatment. One cannot over-estimate how an attractive
smile and facial appearance can generate new found confidence
for youngsters as well as for the more mature person.
I have been in specialist practice for over 20 years. I gained
my degree as a General Dentist in 1970 and practiced as such
in London for 4 years. As part of my second degree, I concentrated
on psychological considerations in dentistry. This was then
followed by a Masters degree in the branch of Orthodontics
in 1980. All these degrees were achieved at the University
of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
In
addition to the above, I have been on the teaching staff at
the University from 1974 until 1992. My commitment to orthodontics
also involved me in becoming Secretary to the South African
Society of Orthodontics plus being a member of various subcommittees
within the Society, one of which was the Continuing Education
Committee. In addition to organising various courses, I have
been active in updating my knowledge so that I can deliver modern,
up-to-date orthodontics to all, from the young child who is
just getting new permanent teeth to the mature adult.
The staff at the Colchester practice is truly committed to
giving all our patients their best attention. They are friendly
and knowledgeable and have been involved in the treatment
of orthodontics for many years. They can empathise and relate
directly with our patients' needs both before and during treatment
and are always available to help or chat about apprehensions
and difficulties the patients may experience.
We look forward to seeing you at the practice.
